Products Description
Air separation, referred to as air separation, refers to the process of separating its components (oxygen, nitrogen, argon, helium and other rare gases) from air by applying the principle of low-temperature refrigeration. Generally, the air is compressed and cooled to a very low temperature, or the air is liquefied by expansion, and then separated in a distillation tower. For example, when liquid air boils, nitrogen (boiling point -196°C), which is more volatile, vaporizes first, and oxygen (boiling point -183°C) vaporizes later.

Air separation equipment, referred to as ASE, is a gas separation equipment that liquefies and distills air and finally separates it into oxygen, nitrogen and other useful gases.
The air separation equipment is a large and complex system, mainly composed of the following subsystems:
- Power system: raw air compressor, providing power for the air separation equipment.
- Purification system: It is composed of air precooling system (air cooling system) and molecular sieve purification system (purification system), which is used to remove impurities in the air, such as moisture, carbon dioxide, acetylene, propylene, propane and nitrous oxide.
- Refrigeration system: The air separation equipment is refrigerated by expansion, and the refrigeration of the entire air separation equipment strictly follows the classic refrigeration cycle. The air separation refrigeration equipment usually mentioned mainly refers to the expander.
- Heat exchange system: With the development of technology, the heat exchanger mainly uses aluminum plate-fin heat exchanger.
- Distillation system: The core of the air separation equipment, an important equipment for achieving low-temperature separation. Usually adopts high and low pressure two-stage distillation method, mainly composed of low-pressure tower, medium-pressure tower and condenser evaporator.
- Product delivery system: It is composed of oxygen compressors and nitrogen compressors of various specifications, so that the oxygen and nitrogen produced by the air separation equipment meet the use pressure of the subsequent system.
- Liquid storage system: It is composed of storage tanks of various specifications, cryogenic liquid pumps and vaporizers, and is used to store products such as liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen.
- Control system: Large air separation equipment uses a computer distributed control system, which can achieve automatic control.
